Exercising boosts self-confidence!
_DSC4275During the harsh winter months in Birmingham, most individuals don’t take time to exercise. Because of the cold temperatures and earlier times of darkness, often times, we rush home to sit in the warmth and comfort of our houses after a tiring day at work. In addition to sitting at both the job and home,  often times, we tend to eat more and move less.  The slow and sedimentary lifestyle we adopt during the winter months can lead to increased health risks, depression, and weight problems. Not to mention destroying ones self-esteem and over-all confidence.

 

_DSC4297Soooo, get out of the house, and move out of that chair.  Who doesn’t want to feel better by increasing your confidence and overall appearance?  Working out your reaps can benefit you internally as well as externally. Have you ever noticed the “euphoric” feeling you get while you workout? When you exercise, your body release chemicals called endorphins. Endorphins are known to trigger a positive feeling in the body, the  chemical also acts as a natural painkiller.

Exercising helps you sleep better!
Exercising can cause your body’s temperature to rise then fall a couple of hours afterwards. The temperature drop makes it easier to sleep and stay asleep.
Working out is a beneficial stress reliever. The brain compensates for the physical stress by increasing the amount of time you spend in stage four sleep or deep sleep._DSC4309

Exercising helps reduce stress levels!
Stress is an unavoidable part of life but exercise can help you manage it. Studies show it is very effective at reducing fatigue, improving alertness and concentration, and enhancing overall cognitive function. This can be especially helpful when stress has depleted your energy or ability to concentrate.
