MCR: EJI MEMORIAL

MCR was able to stop by the Equal Justice Initiative Memorial. The EJI Memorial is definitely a site  everyone should  visit. The memorial seats on the side of a hill overlooking the downtown region of Montgomery, Alabama .  The memorial is combed with an uncountable number of steal column-like statues that identify the states and counties with documented records of lynching  citizens. As you walk through the memorial, the floors decline providing you with the feeling of witnessing someone hanging above you. It represents a sad reality about American history that should not be denied. It helps American citizens to see and consider a different perspective about the United States and how we handle terrorism; especially, on a local scale.
