It started early yesterday. Not the concert, but the crowd. By a quarter to 5:00 P.M., there were crowds of people standing in line from the corner back by Pale Eddie’s Pour House to the door of Rogue Tavern. The crowd make-up was comprised primarily of young ladies hoping to hear and see Brett Young. Even though last night’s weather was bitter cold, it seemed as though the cold weather was ignored as some of the women dressed in their best dresses for a chance to meet Brett Young.
Matt Hill opened for Brett around 7:15 P.M. After the usual meet and greet photo session, Brett took the stage around 8:00 P.M. The audience was extremely charge by Mr. Young’s presence. The audience seemingly enjoyed every moment of last night’s performance. Throughout the night, the songs kept coming and the crowd kept singing as many knew the lyrics to all Brett’s songs.
Thanks Brett for visiting the Magic City. Also, thanks to WZZK and Rogue Tavern for making the concert possible. Please remember the free concerts are to help support the Children’s Hospital of Birmingham. Donations are welcome!
