Sloss Music Festival took place this weekend in the Magic City. The outdoor event was held at Sloss Furnace Park over a two-day span. This year’s event offered an incredible lineup of musical artists from a wide genre of music categories.
Unfortunately, a large portion of the concert was canceled due to Birmingham Summer rain showers. Due to the weather, many music fans patronized local restaurants and other indoor facilities throughout the city. Thus, the city was able to make money in other ways from the canceled event. However, the fans spending money at other venues probably did not help concert promoters. MCR hopes the city and promoters did not take a heavy financial hit from the rained out event.

‘A two-day general admission pass is valid for entry both days of the festival and all performances.
Limited quantities available at each price level. Prices will increase as allotments run out at each price level.’
